Confession of the day. When ever I go passed the canned fish aisle lately, I buy something. Today it was smoked mussels and a 90c tin of sardines. I can't help it. I now have a collection.

This fish in a tin thing is amusing and all but really, the biscuit aisle is where the party is at.

I reckon you're right because the day I discovered Malteaser biscuits was a fucking good day. I think I woop in the aisle.

I stay away from that aisle now 😔 still have at least 15 kgs to lose

You've certainly penetrated my soul. Try tinned lamb tongue in a sandwich. It'll blow your mind.

The eucharist will be served with wine and a smidge of sardine upon a cracker

are we fessing collections now?

I have a small collection of cameo shells. Mostly crudely made tourist trinkets but they amuse me for now. I'll probably give away most and keep one or two I really like.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Faces on shells. That's bizarre.

not faces, touristique pictures

the best one I have is a scrimshaw shell from Tidal River ( probably made in Fiji like all the rest of them 😂)

I do have a helmet shell tho, not carved. Even so they are quite valuable

Oh because when you said cameo that's where my mind went to. My apologies

There are many things that I find bizarre in this world but fascinating at the same time. Like octopus.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

cameo is just a carving technique

Oh. Shit, I learn things every day.

I couldn’t help myself from a tin of herring when I went to Aldi :(
