What setting do YOU use on your Gillette adjustable?

I mostly use number 5.

Where are you on the scale from 1 (pussy) to 9 (hero)?

I need the feeling of danger to feel fully alive 😁 - without going to the suicidal range of 6+. I have a family after all!

3 is my normal go-to, but recently I've been using 4. I think the blade has a lot to do with it. I'm using a Personna 74 with 20+ shaves on it, and it's a very smooth blade at this point. When it was new, setting 2 or 3 would have been a better choice.

The Pers 74 I tried was a totally different type of blade than any of my modern ones, after maybe 15 uses. It operated by a different set of rules.

Of course, later I would find that it had a defect: that the center holes were not drilled exactly center.

Interesting! This one seems well centered. I used a fresh Rapira today, and can't wait to go back to the 74 haha!

Yeah, I'm sure mine was an exception.
