I saw a heavy discounted ‘learn to draw manga’ kit and while the instruction book and tools are probably dreck (plus I don’t really want to draw a cutesy anime/manga style at my age) it comes with a carry case that can fit a sketchbook, plus a curved ruler, markers, sharpener and a few fineliners.

It doesn’t matter if the fineliners are crap as they’d quickly become worn from drawing exercises and be replaced. Perhaps even just the few items I’d want (storage case, curved ruler, fineliners) would work out cheaper than buying them individually. I’m not a fan if the carry case is cardboard though.

The portable easel boxes don’t look like they have a lot of space and the wooden storage boxes are more costly and quite bulky.
