I know that there is a list of representatives for my country, and that is comparatively easy to find.

But how do I find the one that is actually there for my sub-sub-sub region? Like: who is the most specific?

Or is it just like this: "Congratulations, here are the representatives of your country. Please do everything else yourself."

Phrasing it differently: how hard (easy?) is it to participate in democracy, aside from voting?

Personally, I’d start with the person or party you voted for.

Probably better to start with the party that aligns with OP's interests.
