Really struggling today to work out the reason why 'steak cut fries' are called that.

cos they are bigger they don't get cold while yer eating yer steak

so I fell down a rabbit hole and the answer seems to be basically "to differentiate from french fries"

Apparently they're thicker and sometimes cut in wedges. Can't see a major difference myself but then I don't buy these.
