Love this patch. Fixed an enormous bug I reported after seeing a high-level game casted with that bug. Added a few major UX improvements people have been asking for since the beginning (colour selection in ranked games! Ability to replay save files at higher speed than 2x!) Fixed a few bugs introduced by the previous patch.
Plus a bunch of good balance changes that were sorely needed.
Is freyr still op on low elos ? Couldnt play teams without one person having it and steamrolling the wings ... kinda stopped playing MP cuz of it
aomstats.io is a really great resource for this kinda information. In my own games, I can't say that I've actually noticed too many people playing Freyr, although for unrelated life reasons I haven't played more than a handful of multiplayer games since the start of March.
The data on aomstats.io seems to say that yes, Freyr is still very strong up to about 1300 Elo. It looks like your best options for countering Freyr are Loki or Poseidon.
I had my filters there set to the current and previous patch, just because the current one is so new that its data is very limited. But the early indications, when I look at 1v1 games in only the latest patch, are that Freyr is nowhere near as strong as he once was.
Damn noice , im about 950-1000 elo in 3v3/4v4s and some 900 1v1 , but i feel like im playing 1400+ people 4/5 times i play ranked mp ... norse are supper oppressive and idk how to counter it in the time they start building hillforts in my base , could try to get back in and test stuff around
