My dad once said you can flex against like the top of a door frame and if you do it every day you'll build muscle. I always thought he was messing with me.

Right? And actually I think ANY activation of muscles is good, even if it doesn't build muscle. Because it keeps it being used. Especially for people who sit around a lot.

I worked from home for a number of years. Then I decided to get back in the public sector so I could finish up building up my retirement time.

So the first job I got was a janitor job. Just to get in they system while waiting for teacher assistant job to open up.

I went from sitting down all day, to suddenly walking up to 8 miles a day as I cleaned the schools. Thought I was gonna freakin die. My body got used to it in about 4 months. But that was a long 4 months. Then I got a teacher assistant job, where was I on my feet a lot, but it was super easy compared to what had just been through.

I def wish I would have worked some more muscles while working from home. And now I work out every single day in my retirement. Best shape of my life.
