Have to say with how abrupt the DT went it reminds me of a naughty audio software torrent site called audiofarm I was a member over a decade ago. Was the biggest audio private tracker. One morning wake up and it gone without a trace. The freakout was real. All that knowledge, the ratio..
A few days later and a new tracker started and all was well.
This feels like that.
I had a similar experience with what.cd, it might have been a replacement torrent site for audiofarm? Invite-only, and it was a music lover's dream. Had to keep a positive upload/download ratio. A catalogue bigger than streaming services. I contributed for years. Then one day without any warning, gone. Its servers got seized by the authorities in whatever country they were based. Replacements popped up pretty quickly.
Ooh that's bringing back memories, I remember what.cd as the go to for music in FLAC format for myself.
I haven't been back for a week or so...so the DT is done done, or waiting on an API back down?
all of r/melbourne went private, not sure how long for.
What happened?
