I could be wrong but I think that is what confidence is.

Being able to act when you're not feeling certain. Trusting yourself to handle the unknown or uncomfortable, that it won't be too much for yourself.

Isn't that what is often meant when we tell others we have confidence in them? We're not saying they won't meet resistance or difficulties, we're saying we trust they'll handle them.

Why not say the same thing to ourselves?
