Shower thought: with the tech billionaires obsessed with immortality and the very real prospect of them reanimating their disembodied heads frozen in a jar, modern revolution should leave nothing to chance and evolve from the guillotines of the French Revolution to something a little more permanent like a tree shredder.
oooh, I like your way of thinking! Maybe combine that modern approach with the tradition of guillotines not always finishing them off first time around, and, you know, feed them feet-first into the tree shredder possibly still squirming
