I agree. I’d prefer a phone with a replaceable battery, but unfortunately, most phones don’t offer that anymore. The thickness of rugged phones definitely takes some getting used to. I actually discovered rugged smartphones while searching for phones with big batteries. Most mainstream phones have batteries around 5000mAh, but some Chinese rugged phones have 22,000mAh or even larger batteries! I am concerned about software updates tho..

Getting used to a thing is just that. Tho I personally prefer bigger devices
