One of my favorite gaming experiences ever. I don’t think I knew what the actual plot was. Something about a clone?
You play as a blonde spike who can't remember anything so you follow a group of people and commit a slight bit of eco-terrorism while joining up with some talking animals. You can make birds fuck so you can race them and then you fight a half angel.
Oh right. I did make birds fuck. And that girl died and I lost all the items she was carrying.
Those of us that know now remove as much of her equipment as possible before it happens. I like to think the girl now knows it's coming too, or is deeply concerned about being asked to go into battle with her starting gear again

The next remake entry will patch that, and be titled: Final Fantasy 7: Realizing the Potential to Loot The Girl’s Items When She Is Found Deceased
