Higgins is the president of Ireland. Why is the former Israeli ambassador publicly making ridiculous demands of him? But the ambassador is far from the worst of the Israeli politicians making public statements which sound terrible to an international audience for no good reason. Is there a voting bloc of fanatics who deliberately want to offend other countries that is being pandered to?
