Female circumcision is far more damaging to the sexual organs than male circumcision and is done with the intent of controlling women. It is a sadistic practice with malice behind it that does far more harm and that is why it is called mutilation.
A comparable practice would be cutting off half the penis instead of just the foreskin.
That is why it is generally referred to as mutilation instead of circumcision, because it is a vastly different thing.
None of this is saying that male circumcision is fine, just that one is far more severe then the other.
Still mutilation. And we should call it what it is.
Both are methods of control, both are based on bronze age religion.
Yes one does more harm, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't use proper terms.
