5 No bigotry, no racism, sexism, antisemitism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or any type of prejudice.
6 Be civil in comments and no accusations of being a bot, 'paid by Putin,' Tankie, etc.

There is an appeal system for cases like this. Like this specific case is an easy appeal, if they denied this after appeal then a lawsuit could take them to the bank.
Also, the Hospital won't discharge them even if it doesn't get paid on time.

A lawsuit isn't the same as your loved one surviving.
There is actually no urgency to this specific case. This patient will demonstrably not delay their own care for fear of debt.
debt is generally an option that is given (or at least available) to reduce the delay
This reeks of "are there no work houses?! are there no prisons?!"
Does the term "delay" ring any bells?
Less than a single percentage of denied claims get appealed, a lot of people apparently don't even know the option is available.
