Dutch chocolate maker Tony’s Chocolonely has long been at the forefront of pushing for more sustainability in cocoa production.

The hope now is that the EUDR, which aims to get rid of deforestation in the supply chains of imported commodities, will also help provide better technical and economic support to the farmers who supply much of the world’s cocoa.

That's certainly admirable and I support those efforts, but maybe Tony and other chocolate makers should be more concerned about getting the lead and other heavy metal contamination of their chocolate under control.
