Just because the hearing has finished does not mean that there's a conclusion yet. Having heard all evidence it'll now need to be considered in its entirety and written up into a final decision, plus any potential penalties.
You don't say that a jury trial is dodgy if there's not a guilty verdict and sentencing within 5 minutes of closing arguments.
No one declares a jury trial over until the verdict is announced though.
But this isn't a jury trial, is it? In my opinion, if they don't announce the results very soon, then that has to mean that they're guilty, it's just a matter of what punishment they'll be given. That, in my opinion, will actually take longer to decide than the actual guilty/not guilty decision.
