Why does your silica need constant refreshing? Has it always been that way? Perhaps you have a moist reel or two in there that need a good cook off in a filament dryer. I would look for more root cause for the humidity issue rather than hope another desicant will be a Gosend. Silica is pretty good stuff, I think you may end up dissapointed with this strategy.
Probably got a wet filament but they are all new and I have tried to give them a quick run through the dehydrator I have which is part of the goal of getting a better desiccant.
Also it's like 80% humidity where it prints so at 45% it's not a small amount reduced.
Also, silica is fine but there are other desiccants. Holding onto the past cause it's good enough never explores if there is something better.
Thought you were joking with the title but if you're really a Trump type thinker go for it.
Quick run through is no way to dry out a wet filament. Try all the new stuff you want and report back but doing things properly still works better.
Fuck Trump
Speaking as a Mod: What is the deal with the Trump comment? That seems uncalled for and random IMO but perhaps I do not understand. I have no issue with your opinion of Trump. I'm wondering why you are accusing someone else of being a "Trump like thinker" that is a pretty hot jab to wield randomly without context.
"concept of a plan" is a trump quote. Not random at all
Sure and we all used covfefe as a meme for a while too.
If we don't laugh we will cry.
But still an absolute insult to jump to just cause I don't do things how you want them to be.
I was joking. I have barely started on this and thought it was funny. Why rush to insult for nothing?
And I don't care to share any of my findings with you if you downvote conversation and jump to insults.
Don't get discouraged. I get where you're coming from. I don't follow the news or care about Trump. I see a satirical replying comment, or enough doubt to see it as such, in a situation where text is hard to convey emotional meaning from both people involved.
Personally, I had a crushing failure with a project from around a week ago. I know how it can be rough sometimes. We can all be friends here. And when we can't, there's always the block user feature to navigate to a more friendly part of our digital social room on Lemmy.
As a mod, I'm only the lowly janitor. I don't paint the walls or fix the floors.
As a user, I understand and sympathize.
