I don't know if anyone cares, but the most insane thing has just happened in Super Mario 64 speedrunning. For the first time ever, someone is now holding the world record in all 5 major speedrun categories, 120 star, 70 star, 16 star, 1 star, and 0 star. The runner #GreenSuigi has pulled off what might be the single greatest accomplishment in speedrunning history. A clean sweep of the single most competitive game ever

So 120 is 100% and 0 is clearly beating the game with the fewest possible stars, but are the other categories?

@[email protected] The game has 120 stars to collect, but you're allowed to beat the main boss with 70 stars, so that is essentially the "no major glitches" category. 16, 1, and 0 star all involve major sequence-breaking glitches of some sort. The glitches to complete 16 star are reasonably easy, fun to perform, fun to watch, and result in a 15-20 minute speedrun so it's the most popular category. 1 and 0 star are very similar with brutally difficult glitches that aren't fun so it's much less popular
