I'm just acknowledging the difference from 100 years (and 1 day) ago.
I'm not claiming everything is sunshine and rainbows now and completely agree that there are still problems impacting minority groups at higher proportions along with racism in every crack of society. Here in Kalamazoo and the rest of the country. No PR, I have no ties to the democrat party. Just sharing history and information.
If your house was on fire and a small section of your burning lawn was extinguished, would you then pause firefighting efforts to celebrate the "progress" achieved on your lawn?
There has been far too little progress in Kalamazoo to stop and celebrate.
