Churches vary wildly in their authority model. From open, random, contributory churches to super strict qualified theologian / pastor / priest only types.

Irrespective of this guy flying off the handle inappropriately, it is abundantly clear what type of church meeting you're in after about 5 minutes of being there.

Add to this how many unsafe, unhinged self styled "prophets" you have wandering from church to church thinking they can just take the stage and give their "revelation" and I'd say this guy broadly did the right thing, though I disagree with his heavy handedness doing it.

Unless you've been part of the 'charismatic' community I don't think you realise how weird some of these "god wants me to take over the meeting" type people are. Pastor here replied is a totally unsurprising baptist style. Baptists view the authority to speak from the stage as very very serious and heavily qualified by seminary training. Guy who approached the stage knew what he was doing and was being provocative.
