MODERATORS

I’m naive but I just like the idea of having a team that stays a team and competes, less like a business and more like a high school where all of the players are FROM THERE and have pride in the team, the city and the fans. The Olympics is fun because you don’t see Simone Biles negotiating for more money to go compete for China or Russia. We are the USA. We are the 49ers.

The idea of Aiyuk playing here and not wanting to just sucks. Fuck off. The business part of this is a boner killer and takes away the magic.

The quality of the football is much more important than where players are from and whether they have team pride or not. The business aspect is necessary to produce good, competitive football. It's the media that wants to turn the contract negotiations into a song and dance and it is the viewers that let them.

If Aiyuk can be the consummate 49ers WR while not wanting to be a 49er, then we have nothing to be upset about. He has been showing up and being a good teammate. I think Aiyuk wants to be one of the top paid WRs in the league AND be a 49er.

I like the idea of the 49ers being made up of people from all over; all coming together for one goal, for the chance to be part of a team that goes after the highest award in all of sports, the Lombardi Trophy.
