No, you're not reading that headline incorrectly – fast food giant McDonald's has just released a Game Boy Color game in the Year of Our Lord, 2023.

I would love to see a resurgence of .gba games, I love how light weight they are. It could just be nostalgia.

Part of it is nostalgia, but with the Steam Deck I've been able to emulate GameBoy games that I wasn't able to play before. Safe to say it's renewed my interest in what other hidden gems the GBA had

There is a pretty big Game Boy modding community that is constantly pushing forward with mods. Also the ROM hack community. Game Boy is still alive... ish.
