if you see a picture copy paste it in a comment. likely some lemmy bug. one eyed bug. I'm never sure what to expect when posting different media

It seems to depend on what you use to access Lemmy. With Jerboa all I get is a blank. With Eternity I'm getting this: Screenshot_20240820_100456_eu.toldi.infinityforlemmy_edit_3572352682609583

i think a thumbnail was attached but no original picture for some reason

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Oops, you nailed it. Probably should've checked everything actually uploaded....

was about to say, Oop, op fixed it somehow. bug reports always ask for reproduceable steps. if you know maybe they'd be interested enough to prevent in the future. I think anyone can submit an issue. for sure with a GitHub account. https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy-ui/issues

Honestly, I'm blaming user error, kinda just slapped it together and hit post. Good to know for the future though!

seems like i dealt with this years ago when doing some wordpress forms. uploaded file gets dropped after thumbnail processing. coding error. like the post was incomplete like you mentioned

Ohh, didn't think of posting a screengrab of it, but @[email protected] had me covered, it's exactly same with boost.
