I know you are saying that a high calcium diet and no water is what caused the kidney stone but most kidney stones are actually caused by high oxalates mostly from plants. Higher calcium in the diet can actually help prevent kidney stone formation. https://www.kidney.org/kidney-topics/calcium-oxalate-stones https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6459305/

I’m trying to pass a kidney stone right now, no fun at all. Thanks for the link!

I just started getting pains in the kidney after switching to mostly salads in meals. Where oxalates?

I was told to not eliminate these things in the diet completely since they can be healthy for you. Just be aware they are high in oxalates and dont make them huge staples in your diet. Making sure you get enough calcium when eating them should help stop the kidney stone formation since it helps prevent absorption of the oxalates. Some of the foods high in oxalates have high calcium levels so they aren't as bad.

I don't think that stones form so quickly. Maybe it's time to get some tests?
