You're just missing genuine community and human interaction. It is a huge lack of it in today's world. But you can fight back just you know group up with your friends and have that lan party you miss
Moved to a new town, looking for groups to participate in... Instead I made an acquaintence out of the barista of a coffee shop I regularly go to
but how do you afford coffee? Its Like 5€
I don't go there every day
Hey, at least the barista recognizes you even if they're told to smile.
Even if the interactions are fake, I still feel good about it.
My issue mainly is that people get married and have children and then don't have time anymore.
It always used to be a hassle to get people to even show up and I feel having families won't make that any better.
As a married man with a kid, we may have less time than others, but the loneliness is still there for many men.
You will always be welcome to play some games in my home, if you're ever in the area. I have multiple computers so we can always play lan games.
But what I mentioned is what I hear most of the time when I ask people if they want to hang out. They don't have time, too busy, etc. Maybe it's me and they just don't like me?
Ironically in our group it's the people with kids who have the most availability/flexibility to meet up, but the ones who are single or don't have a family who are always busy.
