The RNC claims it is recruiting an army of 100,000 poll observers who could provide significant disruption during voting and counting.

Here's one of the more insidious parts of this: the situation is structurally in their favor.

  • If the "observer" interferes with the count, they succeed.
  • If the "observer" tries to interfere with the count and is stopped, they claim the "disruption" casts doubt on the vote and succeed.
  • If the "observer" is somehow preemptively stopped from doing either of those things and removed, they claim the removal is evidence that poll workers are trying to hide fraud and succeed.

You're not even accounting for the "observers" being your local, corrupt af, right-wing sheriffs.
