...what? Do you have any further info on that, cause afaik, that's not how Steam works, like...at all. It's literally just a program to launch other programs.
It's been quite a few years since it happened but suddenly games I played all the time wouldn't boot up. I'd click the title and attempt to launch the game but it would just stop there.
So I contacted steam support and they told me steam no longer supported my graphics card. It wasn't that my card couldn't handle the games but they just wouldn't allow the game to launch with that card.
I'm not big on computers so I don't know how it all works I just know it pissed me off and made me go back to console even though I didn't want to.
You should have asked for a refund. You can still play the game but steam won't let you is a sure grounds for a refund.
