A sub devoted to highlighting the ridiculous cost of living in Canada right now. We’d like to thank our corporate overlord Galen Weston Jr. of Loblaws for continually raising grocery prices so he can get a big fat bonus cheque every year while the rest of Canadians struggle to make ends meet.

Loblaws is fine with growing green onions, just not by their customers apparently (sh.itjust.works)

Green onions especially. The only part that regrows is the greens, which are only used for garnish. If you want the actual flavor from green onions, you have to use the whites.

Combine that with a bunch of green onions usually costing less than a dollar... I just don't feel like it's worth the effort.
