The remaining essence has my face pretty wet. Do I just leave it on? Also, is there a time of day that works best for anybody and if before bed, how do you keep your pillow dry? Thanks for helping a total noob.

As the other commenter said, you can pat it in and let it dry. That should happen quickly. You can also use whatever liquid is left in the bag as a serum for your hands/arms/legs whatever you feel like.

Do you apply moisturizer after?

You could use something occlusive to really lock that moisture in but it's not really necessary!
