My kids are all well past puberty, but I'll relay some fears about my sons as they entered that phase of their lives.

  1. Unintended pregnancy
  2. STDs
  3. Heartbreak

None of those actually happened, as it turns out, because all of my sons are either asexual or damned close to it. The only one that regularly engages in sex is my daughter. I know this because she asks me questions all the time about it, safety practices, etc.

Any idea why they're asexual? That seems strange for all three to be like that, to say the least. Though in this world if I were their age? From what I've heard and seen I might become that way after a while!

Thats not how sexuality works normally ... You won't turn gay or bi, so why would you turn asexual?

Or maybe its been repressed for you and I'm misunderstanding?

Hey maybe you can't *technically *become asexual but you can certainly lose interest entirely given social or environmental factors. And from what I've seen of meatspace outside of the internet, the latter would certainly be me if I were in the dating market.

I think a lot of it is pragmatism.
