I've been a bit weirded out by it too, but I'm trying to see the good side. It's a good sign that they're still going on about it, that shows that at least some people are interested, and the reason people still care about it now is that this is a pretty big thing that just doesn't really happen here. In certain other countries, shootings and similar massacres are so commonplace they're not cared about at a national level, and half the time won't receive more than a casual mention at state level,.similar to how we'd treat a car accident.
