Polestars are currently built in China, but another manufacturing plant will open in the US later this year because the import taxes are higher than the increased US manufacturing costs.
As for the Google part, it’s basically just Android Automotive (not to be confused with Android Auto), which a number of automakers are adopting as their core infotainment platform. Volvo / Polestar worked closely with Google at first because they were one of the earliest adopters. Volvo / Polestar was the guinea pig for Android Automotive
