Crazy to think that this is totality, yet there's still so much light passing around, to create shadows and everything.
But maybe the shutter speed is quite low on these?
Edit: down votes. Please, I would love to know why this is a bad comment. Thank you.
Edit 2: title was confusing, now fixed π it was phrased in a way that made me think it was in the path of the total eclipse. But of course nowhere near it, in reality.
Totality, as in the entirety, of the Alhambra is in the photo.
The most recent eclipse, which is probably what is causing the confusion here, was not visible in Spain.
It should say "Alhambra in its totality", doesn't it?
I know Monday's eclipse didn't reach Spain, but it also doesn't say when the picture was taken so I was also confused thinking it was from a past eclipse
Yes fixed the title :)
This is the entire building visible from this particular viewpoint and the shutter speed was around 1/250
I see, is that a lower shutter speed than in daylight, or almost the same?
Edit: wait, when you said totality, you just meant "the whole building"? Not as in a "total eclipse"?
Yep, as mentioned by others this is Alhambra in Spain. If it makes you feel better I was going to make a California joke about Alhambra being in LA, not OC, so it's not just you π
Haha okay good, that does help π
This was taken during the sunset, i would say itβs an ok shutter speed for a 35mm focal length
And fixed the title, sorry for the confusion
No problem, thanks for clearing it up! π
