Thank you for posting the truth. It really hurts the heart to see all this disinformation being thrown around.

Except there's only one turtle. I was assured "it's turtles all the way down."

The Great A'Tuin, swimming silently through the void 🐒 🐘🐘🐘🐘 πŸ’Ώ

I was assured "it's turtles all the way down."

Well akshully...

(Link is to a PBS Storied video exploring the origins and evolution of the phrase)

Obligatory "everyone should read Discworld" recommendation πŸ™ƒ

The fact that this is a sea turtle and not like a Galapagos tortoise bothers me.

[–] [email protected] 28 points 4 months ago

Why would it be a tortoise? What's it going to walk on, no no no, it can only be a sea turtle, swimming in the great nothingness of the universe. None of that turtles all the way down bullshit.

Thank you! I was like, where are the supporting vertebrates?

Why was my first thought β€œThanos Copter”?

So... a sea turtle with some half-life head-crabs riding on it?

The opening credits of this will help you visualize it. It's a Terry Pratchett's Discworld reference.

holy cow I never knew that existed. I gave the first 5 minutes a watch and its wild how they tried to turn snarky novels dripping with thinly veiled social commentary into a children's television special

Edit: ended up watching the whole thing. I'm not sure who the target audience was, but I certainly enjoyed it, 90s budget animated film warts and all

There are actually several, though I don't think they are for children.
