Okay lets go!, Bathytoshia brevicaudata Short Tailed Stingray. Tuhua, New Zealand in March 2023, Depth about 10m. Frame grab from a gopro video I took. It had a fishing weight hanging from its mouth, swam up really close, did a circle around me, then swam off

Wait - it had a dive weight hanging from its mouth? That sounds uncomfortable for it, at the very least. Plus, lead poisoning?

I'm an idiot - it had a fishing weight hanging from it's mouth. I've corrected the post. Must've still been fairly uncomfortable though....
