Mabuhay at maligayang pag-alis sa Lemmy! โœˆ๏ธ

An abandoned community for the Philippines and all things Filipino! ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ

Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.

While I get the point of it and laki ng lugi ni Netflix because of those "Netflix sharing" services, the downside is nadamay mga may legit reasons para mag-share ng accounts.

Like in our case, ang nanonood lang sa amin is my dad, me, and the sisters - so 3 profiles out of the 4. Since we all went our separate ways, sayang na babayaran pa namin 3 different subscriptions for the same purpose/usage.

I feel that this was already priced in given the number of allowed people that can share an account.

They are not losing money because of this. This is just greed. They are still in the green and are extremely profitable, 4.2B from apr 2022-mar 2023

problem is, they want perpetual growth so they cut shows and try to take more from consumers.

tangina dami nilang pera.
