I'm researching network monitoring software. We looked into LogicMonitor, Paessler, and Solarwinds. My company is reluctant to trust Solarwinds again, LogicMonitor is EXTREMELY expensive and Paessler just ghosted us.

Does anyone know who else is doing network monitoring? My boss would prefer a cloud-based solution because he'd like to cut out all the server upkeep but at this point I can't seem to get my hands on an on-prem setup.

Zabbix, is pretty good monitoring software that can be used on prem. It has most of the features of solarwinds in its agent and SNMP monitoring but the default UI and integration isn’t a nice as Orion.

If you are looking into cloud based, we use NinjaOne which is RMM platform but requires a endpoint to install its NMS extension to do SNMP monitoring. It comes with a whole lot of other features and integrations such as remote access via teamviewer/Splashtop, backup, and documentation modules, etc

@TORFdot0 Thanks. I'll look into both of those.
