Of course I Do eventually want them to end up in a relationship but I'm looking for this kind of yuri manga and want recommendations.

Premieres October 2024. The new PV is here. Check out the ANN article for more cast/staff information. Synopsis of season 1 from AniList:

The story follows Karen Kohiruimaki, a 183-centimeter-tall (6-foot-tall) college student who's insecure about her height, and is bad at dealing with people in the real world. She enters the world of Gun Gale Online with her avatar, Ren, who is less than 150 centimeters (5 feet) tall and wears all pink. She meets a beautiful, brown-skinned female player who goes by Pitohui. They hit it off, but one day Pitohui pressures her to participate in "Squad Jam," a team battle royale variation of the Bullet of Bullets tournament.

Trying once again to bring some life into this community.

I've been pretty much hooked on SHY. I thought I was really fed up with superhero stuff, but I've checked out the anime anyway and ended up loving it! It's got lots of fresh takes on the genre (sometimes it feels more like a magical girl show) and Bukimi never shies away (pun intended) from adding all kinds of representation. Now I'm devouring the manga and it just keeps getting gayer!

I also recommend 'Alcohol and Ogre-girls', 'The Princess of Sylph' and 'Show me Your Bust'.

Article by Anime Feminist about "Goodbye, My Rose Garden" by Dr. Pepperco. It explains the setting of the historical manga and its specific meaning in the context of queer emancipation and how the artist used it to inform the story about two women who dare to challenge their standing in a deeply repressed and repressive society.

I think I'm gonna start looking into free books and novels as temp supplements till I can commission some more manga/erotic doujinshi

Since the last post is over a month old.

I'm reading Musunde, Tsunaide. It's a comedy that makes fun of isekai stuff (but it's not an isekai story), and there's a yuri subplot about two awkward JKs, it's really cute.

For anime, this season is kinda dry, I'm following only Precure, Yohane and Bang Dream.

The Assault Lily Bouquet anime was hit or miss, to put it nicely, but I think the game is a lot better both in yuri content and when it comes to just telling good stories. I admit that I'm a bit biased because I've spent a few years fan translating parts of it, though.

You can find all of those fan TLs, as well as those made by other people in the community, on the GEHENA Labs YouTube channel.

The absolute gayest part of the franchise is not this but the short spinoff anime Assault Lily: Fruits. So don't miss that either.

Whether that be the good kind of shock or the bad, maybe a series was better than expected, maybe it was worse, maybe the ending was awful, maybe the ending was fantastic, maybe it was far darker and real than you were expecting, or maybe far less.

For me it's definitely White Angels Have No Wings, how far it was willing to go in terms of the characters, how it built up to the ending, and how it ended, just shocking to the core.

On the other hand though is Lily, excellent 9/10 throughout most of the story, a nice slow burn with realistic character and relationship developments, then just an awful ending that betrays the core of one of the characters.
