If i download an nzb from a indexer is it possible to add or download it with easynews using only their website? Some shows are missing when i search within easynews but i can fine elsewhere. Thanks

Tons of failures and overall slowness since I got back into using usenet. I don't have any problems with nzbplanet, but dognzb seems to be giving me constant issues.

I have been trying to sign up but keep getting the following:

CakePHP: the rapid development php framework

An Internal Error Has Occurred

Error: An Internal Error Has Occurred.

Any ideas why this would be happening?

Hey guys, I'm currently running Newsdemon for 2,25 € per month (27€ per year) which is pretty good and finds way enough of my stuff but sometimes I also need an Indian or Turkish VPN for example for some buys. Newsdemon offers SlickVPN access but only to locations in USA, UK and Singapore.

So I was wondering if this special Eweka deal with VPN included would support more locations or specifically regions like India. Or would you recommend me any cheap VPN service for this? I don't use VPN often. Only a few times a year. I know that Eweka is a better Usenet provider because of it's retention so the little higher price might be worth it anyway.

Im really new to easynews/usenet so sorry if this is a stupid question. I joined easynews for there $2 a month plan and it seems great for the price. Some shows i cant find using easy news but I can find with NZBgeek (currently using the trial but willing to pay). Is there a way I can download the nzb file for the show and then download using my easynews subscription using an ipad preferably?

Hi everyone,

Apologies if this is a dumb question or has been asked. I couldn’t find an answer searching on the subreddit.

If my Frugal yearly subscription lapses do I still get to keep my Blocknews block that came with the subscription?

Fallen on some tough financial times and can’t afford to keep all my providers.

Appreciate your time

Hey,

Does anyone know when Ninja might reopen for registrations? Would love to get this added to the list of indexers.

For people with access do they still offer lifetime? If so whats the current cost?

Heyy, My last german Usenet forum Brothers of Usenet has been shut down in 2024. So I was wondering if someone could give me a hint where I can find a German Usenet forum in the Tor Network. I have searched a few times. However, im too old for that sh*t... Danke Kamerad

As promised to those interested, Tabula Rasa opened registrations for next 48 hours.

As you already know, we remove accounts that had absolutely no activity in last 6 months. This means that you had no API requests, no downloads and haven't accessed the site in last 6 months. All three requirements need to be fulfilled to have your account deleted.

I really got into using Usenet I currently have althub and nzbgeek. I've been searching the reddit and seeing a lot of mentions of both ninjacentral and drunkenslug. I've been wondering which I should get and if there are any other recommendations. Also how often do they accept new members like open registration? I know drunkenslug currently has invite only on and ninjacentral is currently closed.

So I have several programs that connect to my local SABnbzd program.

Keeping the machine constantly behind VPN is not optimal. I have a subscription to ExpressVPN that I've had for years.

What are my options to shield the downloader from prying ISP eyes without having to keep the entire box behind a VPN isolating it from other systems on my local subnet?

I'm giving this one a try and your supposed to get 15 free grabs. It's not letting me get anything unless I subscribe. Can anyone share their most recent experience with this indexer? I currently have SU.

Back in my younger days I was a heavy into torrents but stopped cold turkey when I got a nice letter in the mail from my ISP. This had to be about 18 years ago. I recently stepped back into the world of torrents after looking at my yearly spend for streaming services. I had enough. I cancelled Prime, Hulu, Netflix, Disney+, Paramount+, all of it. I left no service standing (minus Max which I get for free).

Torrenting is great but I was ready to pay to get better ratios and access to private trackers and I stumbled on a post just asking someone else "if you're willing to pay for a seed box, why not just dive into the usenet world?" I think this was the best question asked.

The last 24 hours have been spectacular. I jumped into the deep end and grabbed me a provider (Eweka), an indexer (NZBGeek), and a downloader. I just recently (this morning) grabbed the arr softwares to help with automation.

In the last 24 hours, I've downloaded 553.8 GB and I'm pretty happy about this new setup!

What are other recommendations you all may have for a newbie? Should I add another indexer? Seems that the private ones like DS are highly sought after. Should I get another provider with a different backbone like UsenetExpress? What can make my life even easier?

Thanks everyone who's spent time building this sub and providing a wealth of knowledge to the newer folks.

Just wanted to get some feedback on which providers to add. I currently have Frugal Usenet and Eweka (Netnews, Usenet.Farm, Omnicron), but I'm thinking of not renewing Eweka b/c of how little it's grabbing compared to Frugal.

Option 1: Add NewsgroupDirect (UsenetExpress, Uzo Reto, Usenet.Farm) and gain UsenetExpress and Uzo Reto.

Option 2: Add TheCubeNet and Usenight and gain UsenetExpress and Abavia.

So the way I see it (backbone wise) the main questions are which is better, Abavia or Uzo Reto? And is the UsenetExpress better retention in Usenet.Farm and UsenetExpress really beneficial?

Thank you for any input.

Did anyone encounter similar issue? I have not download anything lately and Jan 04, 2025 all 3 accounts showed exhausted blocks. All 3 have a common backbone "UsenetExpress").

Foul Play?

Looks like Digital Carnage is having some TLS issues between its origin servers and CloudFlare.

Suddenly in the past three months or so new uploads / posts have been taken down, within 1-2 hours or so. Should I try different usenet providers?

50 connections on Eweka and 100 connections on Newshosting. I have a gigabit connection

I started a subscription with Easynews a few days ago but figured out I did not like it very much very quickly and promptly submitted a ticket asking if it were possible to delete my account and give me a refund. I also stated that it was ok if they could not issue a refund but still delete the account. I provided the requested info when I submitted the ticket. It has been over 24 hours and I have yet to get a reply. Is this normal or do they usually take a few days?

Hi Folks, Just wanted to share my experience/thoughts and see if anyone has done similar.

I've just used my Turkish FUPS debit card to pay the a lifetime VIP membership on a Usenet indexer without issue. I haven't used my FUPS account card in about 6-9 months since I left Turkish Netflix after the account sharing clampdown. I had some money left on my my FUPS bank account that was going unused so I just used it to get the VIP account, it worked fine as you would expect from an official visa card.

Going forward it's seems to me to be a pretty safe/secure way of paying for a Usenet provider for uploading too. I know not many people have a FUPS account and going forward new FUPS account can't be open without an actually Turkish ID cards but for those of us in the EU and USA who beat that restriction it seems like a nice alternative to using bitcoin.

Just wondering any Usenet users here have done similar ? Any pitfalls in my idea ?

TLDR at the bottom if you just want the question without the backstory/context.

I've hit the point of wanting to tear my hair out and I figured I should ask here to see if anyone has advice.

I got an Eweka account years ago. It was throttled to 300 megabits/sec - their "high speed" account, i think it was called.

A couple of years ago, I upgraded it to the new "Unlimited Speed" tier when I re-subbed for the year. I noticed I didn't get faster speed, but chalked it up to the fact that I'm in the US and they're in the EU, plus 300mbit is good enough, and I had another provider carrying a lot of my load. (I have gigabit fiber as my internet.) Note, I am not saying I get "around 300 megabits/sec," I get precisely 300. Downloads start off a little above and quickly throttle down to exactly 300mbit over a 2-5 second period.

Back in November, I helped a friend set up his new Usenet setup. He chose Eweka as a provider and is using identical hardware to me. Imagine my surprise when he got 940 megabit/sec download.

So I triple checked my account and yep, mine was the same as his; unlimited speed, etc. My setup happily gets 900-940 megabit/sec from my other providers, so I'm not hardware limited.

I did some searching and found where people have said they had the same issue - upgrading from high speed to unlimited speed didn't work, and they had to contact support to get a resolution. So, that's what I did, back at the very beginning of December.

When I got the email back from Eweka about my ticket, their own auto-generated summary of the ticket included my account name and tier, and it indicated I was on a 300mbit/sec account. BINGO!

Now the problem.... they won't answer my ticket. They took a week to reply the first time, asked for network diagnostics (meaning they never read the ticket itself). I provided the requested info and asked they check that my account was flagged in their system properly.

Two weeks later, I got another response (on Christmas day!) asking if I was still having issues. I got a survey *immediately* afterwards asking how they did resolving my issue.

I replied to that, indicating that I'm still throttled.

Today (Jan 1), I got another auto-generated ticket asking if my issue was resolved, followed by my ticket being closed. When I replied to the email, it generated an entirely new ticket with a new ticket number, starting the process and clock over. I've literally suggested they just delete my account and give me a brand new one with time equal to what I had, since that would likely fix the issue, but no response. It's been a month now, I feel I've been patient and understanding, but this is getting absurd.

I'm at my wits end here; I don't know how else I can get in touch with them or get a human to simply read the support info I sent. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on that?

TLDR: Eweka support seems to be closing my tickets without addressing them or reading them; it's a very simple account issue on their side that other users have had in the past. I'm hoping someone has advice or resources to contact them some other way.

I have been using Fastusenet for 7 months now for 8gb files or smaller it just fine, When your downloading 20gb to 50gb files it is way to slow I am on a 1Gbit connection with FU I get 45mbps max. FU will download the file for like 10 seconds than pause for like 15 to 20 seconds then start again so downloading files really takes like 2 to 2.5 longer than it should take. IMO with FU I am getting more like 16mbs to 20mbs download speed. I am looking to switch to a much faster provider with unlimited downloads 5000+ days retention for like $6 to $9 a month which provider do you recommend.
