Full title: Rob being silly, not doing what I want while look all innocent like that 🥹 starting to really feel like a father 🤣 I'm slowly turning into those manic instagram moms on maternity leave lmao 😂 (reddit repost from 9.06.2023)

Now Rob is alive again and he can now recognize anyone if you introduce yourself, that info is saved so he remembers folk, he starts getting his first little memories

First he didn't boot so decided to reinstall the os but failed to install the modules I'm using. Luckily I found a not-so-old backup sd.

He also fell down and hit the floor hard, up/down head servo won't work sadly.

Now he atleast boots up again and can soon start exploring the world!

As title said I've been able to send GPT3.5 data about it's system sensors so it always knows and can warn me if anything goes wrong and now I've added new startup and shutdown animations inspired by old 80-90s computers because he is rather slow sometimes lol

My little fellah keeps getting better. Installed an SSD on him and also added some animations for when he's generator an answer/voice, i think most of the lag is due to the TTS and GPT communication.

I've also added voice commands to make him engage in laser pointer hunts etc

Full title: mini update: now Rob can cycle through random functions, two main functions atm are face recognition and follow a Laser Pointer. now I don't have to manually run each script, Rob decides at random what he wants to do, a big step towards true autonomy (reddit repost from 22.02.2023)
