Hi everyone!

We recently launched the beta version of a multimedia platform designed specifically with the photography workflow in mind. In a nutshell, it’s IPFS pinning, image transformations and optimization, analytics, and copyright protection under one roof.

We are looking for people willing to participate in a usability test of some features of the app. Many of us on the team are photographers ourselves, so part of the inspiration was to create something to make our own workflow easier. But the ultimate goal is to make the app useful for many people, not just us, and that's why absolutely all feedback is extremely valuable now.

If you're interested, just leave a comment, and I'll reach out to you with more details about the test. Or if you'd like to look around yourself first, here's more about the project: https://macula.link/

Shouldn't this be "Photos"? All I see are individual photos posted and no discussion or interaction. There isn't even an about section in the sidebar. This really feels like a magazine that was created because someone thought that people would expect it to exist, then abandoned.

The Google Licensable badge is a valuable tool for a photographer. But are you utilizing its power fully?

I took this shot back in 2021

I was recently going back through my older folders of pictures to sort them a bit better than they were before and I noticed this was still in my "import" folder. Woops.

Here's a link to the Deviant Art page where I shared it.

I'll be sharing more pictures as I sort through that mess of folders on my NAS.

Hi everyone!

We’re gearing up to launch a Web3 multimedia platform designed specifically with the photography workflow in mind. In a nutshell, it’s IPFS pinning, image transformations and optimization, analytics, and copyright protection under one roof.

Right now, we're in the private beta stage and looking for people willing to try it out and share their experience. Many of us on the team are photographers ourselves, so part of the inspiration was to create something to make our own workflow easier. But the ultimate goal is to make the app useful for many people, not just us, and that's why absolutely all feedback is extremely valuable now.

If you're interested, just leave a comment, and I'll reach out to you with an invite to private Beta. Or if you'd like to look around yourself first, here's more about the project: https://macula.link/

When editing photos, one of the first things you'll want to do is "fix" the skin of your subjects. I've fumbled around with this for years. I use almost exclusively open source tools like GIMP for my work, which while extremely powerful, often lack most of those automatic tools and niceties present in paid products like Photoshop. So I'll share my method, which I adopted from this YouTube video.
