We've called the police and animal control over and over again during these 2 years.

Animal control has very few workers for the entire county, and apparently close sometime around 8pm, which is the majority of the time their dog escapes, almost like they plan it.

So typically it's the police that come, most don't really care too much. In fact, the last group of police that came told us the neighbors are allowed on our private property even with "No Trespassing" signs up, any time they want if the reason is because their dog is loose, despite it happening for TWO YEARS, like they intentionally do it so they can trespass. We were also told that any photo or video evidence doesn't prove anything. Like wtf?

The few times we actually catch animal control, we've had ONE, ONE total time they actually got a couple of fines given to them. Any other time, not a thing. This last time, they were given yet another warning because "it's the holidays". And now, a few weeks after that, their dog came over and killed ANOTHER cat, this is at least 3 now that occured on our property. Who knows if they've killed anyone else's cats, or chickens or whatever.

This is absolutely ridiculous and it seems like we have no options at all

Just found out a few weeks ago that my parents have been financially supporting my dad’s older brother for longer than I’ve been alive. They have been regularly sending $ to my deadbeat uncle (let’s call him Uncle Couch Potato) for decades… right now it’s $500/mo. And get this, my other uncle (Uncle Rich) is also sending $$ to Uncle Couch Potato. I think it might have been similar amounts to what my parents have been sending him. So my parents have successfully raised responsible, hardworking children…. but have been enabling this mooching person for decades. It just blew my mind. My mom said, if we don’t give him $, how would he live? Um, cut him off decades ago? I mean, it’s their money, but things are not right in here….
