Argyle park in Babylon is my favorite spot because you can walk in loops around the lake and there are poke stops literally every three feet. Are there any parks in Nassau county that are similar? I was thinking Eisenhower park, but I don’t know how densely placed the poke stops are there.

Looking to try some new food on LI without going into Queens. In particular I would love to find a Nigerian or Filipino restaurant.

My recommendation for something different is Noa Mar Markets in Babylon. Excellent authentic Spanish/Iberian food.

Can we all agree that the lineup is trash? First year I will actually be in town to attend and it’s garbage. Discuss!

I’m not a corporate shill, I just love getting a good deal in things I need. With meat and produce prices going crazy I’m happy to find any way to cut food costs. Some stop and shops started using Flash Food - it’s basically an app where they list all of their clearance stuff. Everything from slightly squished boxes of pasta to $5 bags of random produce to $20 cuts of steak. Every is marked 50% off. I have gotten a ton of good stuff in the last few weeks and basically just throw it on the grill right away. Eating a lot more meat and veggies for way less money. Quality seems to very store by store - everything from East Islip has been great, but the meat I got from Holbrook was iffy. Has anyone else been using this? Any other deals like it?

What’s everyone’s plans for the weekend? I was planning to visit Westbury Gardens on Saturday and then head to Queens for Chinese food, but the weather is looking bad. Any ideas for fun indoors? I’ve done pretty much all of the escape rooms already. Father’s Day we always do at home, I hate being out at restaurants on holidays.

What are your plans for the weekend?

The last time we tried to go to a Mets game we inched around the stadium trying to get to a parking lot for about 2 hours. By the time we got there it was bottom of the 4th and they still wanted $30 for parking. We just left and went to Astoria to get ramen.

What is the most cost efficient and time efficient public transportation route to get from central Suffolk to Citi Field?

Welcome! I am setting up this community to replace r/longisland. As we develop I will add rules and guidelines. For now, any discussions/memes/pictures/news/videos are all allowed so long as it is Long Island related. Looking forward to welcoming the Reddit diaspora.
