I'm going to get right into it: Whenever I come up with any ideas (usually coding or art related), I just immediately stop working on it whenever I am finished the absolute minimum planning. For example, I'll come up with a coding project to work on, plan out the basics of it, such as the idea behind it and some intricacies, and then just stop working on it, even though I literally just felt like I wanted to see it through to completion.

How do I stop doing this? I just kind of have a huge list of ideas that I want to do but just don't feel like working on them, and then the guilt just kind of piles up, making it worse.

Extra note: This isn't really a discipline issue in my opinion. I tend to have strong discipline in literally every other area of my life (university, for one example, is probably where my discipline is the strongest), and I don't see these issues anywhere except for the areas I have described above.

Thanks!

I feel old now. I'm in my early 30s and unemployed. I've wasted a ton of time in my life. Dropped out of college 3 times but have finished one college diploma. I have no idea how to fix my life or fix my situation. I've applied to a ton of jobs and have had no responses . I have a two year diploma in business but still don't know what I should do. My hair is starting to thin and I'm insanely unmotivated. How do I fix my situation?

Over the last few months I’ve set myself some new goals such as moving more, getting reading again, and eating healthier which are the usual goals that an average person may set.

In the past I’ve been very fit and healthy but due to circumstances changing I’ve drifted out of my habits.

I’m finding it hard to get back into my old habits and work on my goals because every morning I have no motivation whatsoever and I feel tired and not bothered throughout the day.

Only when I go to bed I feel like I could run a mile, do thousands of pushups, and meal prep all the healthiest meals.

Why is this and how do I swap it around so I’m more motivated in the morning?

Hey, I'm a high school student in the United States going into college next year.

I've been an avid fiction reader my whole life and am looking to change things around a bit by reading books that provide insight on financial success and how to stand out from others in a corporate environment.

What is, in your guys' opinion, the best books to read?

As a note, I'd like to say thank you very much to everyone who responded on my previous question on this community, I really appreciate all the advice you guys are giving me.

Thanks for your time!

This will be the first pc I build myself. I have had a pb for 2 years but it’s falling behind, and I decided it’s time to upgrade and build my own. But, I have no clue what i’m doing 🥲. I picked out some parts that seem compatible and are around my budget of $1500, but I would appreciate some input from anyone with experience. Id really love help on wether or not I should change parts, or get anything different that does the same thing but for cheaper. The parts are :

AMD Ryzen 9 7600X CPU

GIGABYTE B650 AORUS ELITE AX ATX Motherboard

Lexar 2TB NM790 SSD PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2

GeForce RTX 4060 8G GPU

CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 RAM 32GB (2x16)

Segotep 750W pcu PCIe 5.0 and ATX 3.0

NZXT Kraken 240 Liquid Cooler 240mm

MUSETEX PC CASE ATX 6 PWM ARGB

I'm 34 y/o guy stuck in a bad phase. I was quite disciplined half a decade ago till anxiety and depression took a toll on my life and career.

I'm crawling my way out of this hole yet struggling year after year. I'm 25 lbs heavier than the standard weight, stuck at a career crossroads, and lonely.

I tried reading a few self-help books again to set better goals and lead a better life but it just wore me out mentally. There's so much to do and I already feel lost.

Is there any resource you can offer to help me set goals and lead a better life?

I first heard of “Reinforcement Learning” when I was a junior at Cornell University in a course called “Foundations of Artificial Intelligence”. This course was an eye-opener, introducing me to various subfields within AI such as neural networks and genetic optimization. But what really caught my attention was Reinforcement Learning.

For those not steeped in technical jargon, Reinforcement Learning (RL) is a subfield of Machine Learning (ML). Unlike most ML which relies on supervised learning — training algorithms with labeled examples — Reinforcement Learning takes a different approach. It uses a system of rewards and punishments to ‘teach’ the computer, much like how you might train a dog.

For example, imagine training a new puppy you got from the shelter. When the puppy sits on command, you give him a treat and lots of “good boys”. However, when the puppy pees on the carpet, you scold him, so he learns to not do it again. RL applies this same principle to computers, enabling them to learn from their actions.
