2019 was Hooper’s last year in ATL. He had 6 touchdowns that season. That’s still more than Pitts has had in his entire CAREER.

We’re a poverty franchise, the fucking redditors could’ve done a better job building a team.

Taking a TE that high when, Jamar chase, micha, Devonta smith, Jaylen waddle, Penie Sewell, Patrick Surtain, were taking right after. Is why we will be a poverty franchise for decades

Then the following year taking the slowest wide receiver when our defense was ass and Garrett Wilson was on the board.

Then the following year taking a RB when we have an elite run game already, when arguably the best player in the draft is still on the board when historically we have had the worst pass rush in decades

Fuck my dad for making me watch this team and cursing me with being a falcons fan.

He’s the only true problem with the team right now. I threw some blame at TF but when I look at it he did his job. He brought in players from free agency that have been making an impact for our defense. When u look at our defense the top performers, even if we exclude bates, were TF pickups. Besides aj terrell all of our drafted players have not produced well enough

And I used to believe TF had draft power but that clearly is AS. You can just tell by our draft picks who is choosing these guys. It’s like AS gets the front end of the draft and TF has to find 6 rounds and undrafted talent.

Then on top of that it’s has been AS decision to go with ridder. It has been decision to miss on parsons and to miss on a couple of lineman. Just to draft a wr to block in the first round. Just to lie to Pitts about you ability to get him the ball. Then u draft bijan and miss out on another baller for a tailback who runs like Saquan but you got him playing slot receiver.

Dude is looking like a football idiot. Especially since his run game ain’t working.

I can see the Falcons finishing 8-9 (they were 4-3 at one point) and inning the division.

They will most likely get smoked in the 1st round or blow a lead and lose a close one.

Blank will see a sub .500 record as progress and the playoff birth as a sure sign a SB is on the horizon.

He will keep Smith and we will fall low enough in the draft to be just out of range of the franchise QB picked by the Saints who finish 7-10 but a few picks ahead of the draft.

Next year will be a repeat of Quinn’s undeserved final year and Falcons will have to hire a new coach to replace the interim coach and start a new 3-5 year plan.

The Pistol formation is great with a mobile QB. It's also great with multiple RB options i.e. one to the side and one in the back and/or weapon on the other side.

However the single back pistol formation is just not the right one for us to use with the QBs we have. It worked last year cause Marcus Mariota is a mobile QB who will tuck it and run depending on the read he gets. We don't have that kind of QB in Ridder or Heineke. It seems with ridder and heineke in a single back formation run when they hand it off they don't read the DB/LB to know if they should tuck it and run. So often in those plays allegier gets stuffed cause the defense knows in that situation its just going to allegier and we get a 5 yard loss. And for whatever reason Arthur keeps calling this formation and this play when we have momentum going down the field and it just kills the momentum. It's like an unnecessary heat check.

Kyle Pitts has been a topic of discussion this season mainly for his lack of significant production compared to his draft overall, his rookie season, other TE’s in general, etc. So my question to you guys is what do you think Pitts will end up being on the Falcons: do you think he’s falling short due to Arthur’s Smith awful play calling and the generally terrible offense or could Pitts end up being a bust? Or do you think the truth is somewhere in the middle?

What should I know?

I'm not especially religious but I've been silently praying that Desmond doesn't perform anywhere near as atrocious as this Tim Boyle dude.

Amen.

I’m making a massive assumption here, but it looks like Shaq Leonard is gonna be an Eagle. Can’t blame him. Get that ring, king.

How we feel about gettin the sloppy seconds on Derek Barnett? He’s obviously not Grady, but our DL is in desperate need of more talent, and Derek would instantly be our second best interior DL after Onyemata (maybe third, depending on how ya feel about Calais on the inside).

If we claim him off waivers, we’re on the hook for his contract, right? But does he clear waivers if we just sit and wait?

Falcons should be one of the teams interested…

Imagine having an organization willing to make so obviously necessary changes.

Watching rookie/unknown QB's like Sam Howell, Tommy Devito, Joshua Dobbs, Bryce Young, and now even Jordan Love have breakout games with visible improvement as the season goes along has me scratching my head on Ridder's lack of progression.

Ridder says all the right things and acts like a proper QB. He's supposedly one of the first ones in and last ones out, has the confidence and athletic ability. And yet here we are in week 12 and Ridder has not only shown 0 improvement, but actually regression.

I think this is more of a failure of the Falcons coaching staff to develop a QB more than anything else.

Ridder has shown willingness to learn but who is teaching Ridder? We have no QB coach, our head coach is a lineman and never played QB, and a "veteran" backup who's only started 1 season. Last season, he had Mariota - LOL.

QB is the hardest and most complex position on the field. Even if we draft a QB with next year's 1st round pick as long as we have our current regime the QB is going to fail because he won't have any support.

I really hope that we win Sunday's game so we can end this playoff drought and the division championship drought. We got the Aints twice, Bucs, Panthers, Bears, Colts and Jets.

I’m thinking about asking for a Jersey for Christmas. I want it to be for a consistently good player who’s very unlikely to retire or get traded.
