Disclaimer! If I've gotten incorrect information then it means what I'm posting is wrong. So over the next couple days more concrete information could come out and completely invalidate this post.

However, right now it is being stated that there were roughly $1.4b total inflow into the ETFs, or roughly 34,000+ Bitcoin being purchased from last week. I've seen some people mix up numbers on GBTC affecting this, but these are the numbers I'm working with.

If true, this means .1667% of all Bitcoin ever was just purchased. AND, this would make up 1.85% of all available Bitcoin on exchanges(1.9mil BTC or roughly $75.5bil). So in the first 2 days nearly 1/50th of available Bitcoin was bought up.

Bullish! Shove that hopium in my face!

More sobering though, Coinbase and other exchanges certainly can have 'more secret wallets' of holdings that could drastically change this number of available BTC. And, it is likely the purchases into the ETFs will slow down and have a lull for weeks or months.

But the implication is that in roughly 120 days, only weeks after the halving, we might have a supply crunch on Bitcoin as available BTC dries up. Price will need to increase to counter this.

Really keen on following the numbers with these ETFs. Delayed finalizing purchases, and OTC purchases, won't affect price much at all, but the supply drying up definitely will. Next 3 months will be exciting!

Back around 2010, I used the original Bitcoin faucet (where you put in a captcha and received 5 bitcoins) multiple times, as at the time I was a dumb college kid looking to collect Bitcoin to eventually buy illicit substances on the dark web. Because of said illicit substances, I don’t exactly have the clearest memory of what I did with the bitcoins. I vaguely remember saving a code of words into my yahoo inbox, but unfortunately everything from that inbox has been deleted at this point. I believe I may have a safe with the same code somewhere in storage at my parents house.

As I am far from an expert in crypto, I was wondering if anybody had any idea of what the best way of trying to recover this Bitcoin is? I still have the laptop that I used, however at this point it is in need of repairs and it is difficult to search as a number of the keyboard keys no longer work. Were there any exchanges around 2010 that would be worth checking, or is it much more likely that I saved them locally in a wallet on the laptop!”? I’ve considered trying to get the laptop repaired so I can search further, but am not sure if it’s a lost cause. If anyone has any thoughts or ideas on possible places to look it would be greatly appreciated!

I’m guessing at this point I’m SOL, but given the value that it would have at this point I figured it was at least worth posing a question.

I get people want to rotate out of GBTC into the ETF, but GDLC "Digital Large Cap Fund" (67% BTC, 25% ETH, 3% SOL, 2.5% XRP, 1.5% ADA, 1% ADA) is trading at a 50% discount and still dumping? It's the only way to get ETH and SOL into a standard portfolio, seems like a bargain? Wondering if I should buy more or is wise to get out if it's reacting negatively to the ETF approval? ETH ETF is a lot more complex with staking and ICO so it's not a sure thing for April at all, but should get approval eventually. This was an interesting interview about ETF impact, ETH starts at 29:00.

Just getting back into using crypto since last year and was wondering if people still converted to XLM to move around cheap and quick or what the new meta was?

I’ve even found it cheaper to buy XLM and send to my cold storage and then convert it to BTC rather than sending BTC straight from exchanges.

What’s y’all’s go to exchanges to buy or sell when you actually need to use your crypto via your bank account?

Appreciate anyone willing to educate and knock the dust off my knowledge bank 🤙🏻

Currently using strike to buy/stack fyi

My friend and co-worker told me he got a letter in the mail today saying he must return over 40k USD to Celsius or be open to legal action against him. Is it just me or should a company that criminally mismanaged peoples funds have absolutely no right to ask if they can steal a little more from you.

While there have been man posts about the BTC ETFs recently, I didn't see one quite like this yet and I think it may be helpful to some people.

Now that Bitcoin ETFs are a thing, many people are wondering if/when they will be able to add them to their 401(k) accounts. For many, the answer may be TODAY! I have my 401(k) with Empower, which is one of the larger companies out there. Within my 401(k) account, I have the option to open a "Self Directed Brokerage Account" (SDBA) which lets me pick and choose which stocks, bonds, ETFs, and other investments I buy with my 401(k) funds.

It was a bit of a pain to navigate through the menus to find exactly what I needed to do, but it is just a matter of finding how it is set up for your interface. Once done, I transferred 20% of my 401(k) balance into my SDBA. I set the transfer up on Friday, and it settled into my SDBA this morning. So, this morning I went in and bought the HODL ETF and it went through immediately.

Who would have thought we would be able to have Bitcoin exposure in our 401(k)? I have been interested in BTC since about 2015, and a buyer since 2017. I'm excited about this!

Please note, I'm not suggesting this is better, or even as good as self-custody. I hodl BTC in my own hardware wallet as well. But, the employer match and tax benefits of a 401(k) cannot be ignored.

So, the point of this post...Log into your 401(k) and see if you can setup a self directed brokerage account too! Call your 401(k) provider and ask them for help if needed. Imagine the price of BTC if even 20% of people put even 1-5% of their retirement funds into a Bitcoin ETF!

Crypto's timeframe is different than tradfi's timeframe. 1 month in crypto is like 1 year in tradfi...now jokes aside, people get bored so fast in crypto.

They either lose interest in investing during sideway times or are going into memecoins to get the thrills they crave.

But in truth, we all should appreciate these sideway moving times!

Prices consolidate, maybe some downs or minor up swings. The most important thing is that we're still early:

The really big bullrun is yet to come!

And what does it mean for us?

We still have time to invest our hard earned money. This money we put to work for us and when the bull finally arrives, those who had been patient and investing, will be rewarded handsomely.

$4 trillion crypto marketcap in 2021 was insane (remember there was almost no institutional money back then), it's unimaginable what next bullrun will be.

Hi all.

My friend put 350 bucks into crypto in a whim a couple of years ago and now they've contacted her saying it's now worth 22k and they're trying to return it to her.

The company is Lite Forex. I've told her it's probably a scam but feel bad breaking her heart a little. I've told her not to give them any money to release funds and that if they want to give her Bitcoin, I'll help her set up a wallet and watch them do it.

Has anyone dealt with this company and are my suspicions correct? Any other advice I can give her?
