Sometimes Cincinnati Biz Courier links are posted. These are mostly paywalled. IF you have a library card then you can view the articles by doing the following steps:

  • Visit the library magazine/newspaper section.
  • Click on Cincinnati Business Courier there and log in if needed.
  • For now, manually find the link that was posted here (I will try to figure out a way to auto format links or something so it takes you right to it at some point.)

It’s a nifty little feature not unlike the phone’s tap-to-pay service, but while the virtual card is handy for getting through TSA checkpoints, in many other circumstances — like voting or a traffic stop — it just won’t cut it.

Metro, the region’s largest transit agency, has released a request for proposals to examine whether it is feasible to move its main Government Square bus station to the Riverfront Transit Center underneath Second Street or elsewhere downtown.

Cincinnati Metro will move from its location inside the Mercantile Center to a street-facing space on Fifth Street currently occupied by Queen City Wine & Spirits within the next year. Queen City Wine & Spirits will move to a Fourth Street-facing location.

A ton more room so...I wonder what they actually do with it. Seems to be too big a space at too high a price but we shall see.

Queen City Liquor is moving to 4th.

Brinkman, who is a Republican candidate for Hamilton County auditor, and his committee, including Adam Koehler, a Republican candidate for Hamilton County commissioner; longtime Price Hill activist Pete Witte; Sarah Wolf, a Northside resident who leads a group of homeowners angered by the rise in property tax bills; and Amber Kassem, a staunch opponent of the city’s recent Connected Communities zoning changes, must now collect 8,786 valid and verified signatures and submit them by the Sept. 5 City Council meeting in order to make the November ballot.

Even if the proposal makes it to the ballot and passes, it may not be legal because state law governs how the trust fund money can be spent.

The $93 million redevelopment of the historic Traction Building in downtown Cincinnati, nearly a decade in the making, will break ground in a matter of weeks.

Parkes Development Group, the Franklin, Tenn.-based firm behind the 121-year-old building’s transformation into a 152-room Kimpton Hotel, has secured a construction loan, the firm announced in a media release.

If you have an Enquirer sub- another article here- https://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/politics/2024/07/23/its-official-ohioans-will-vote-on-whether-to-remove-politicians-from-congressional-and-statehouse-re/74336416007/

I feel like this is a no brainer no matter which way you lean. We should want fair districts and actual representation.
