@briebriejoy

They don’t care about “saving democracy” so you should feel confident voting your conscience and not succumbing to bad faith “vote blue no matter” who pressure. This is the moment to crack the duopoly. The only genuinely anti-war, anti duopoly candidate who will be on 270 electoral college-worth of ballots is @DrJillStein

@ryanobles

NEW: Rep. @AOC tells us she spoke to President Biden over the weekend and it’s time to end the speculation over his future:

“Joe Biden is our nominee. He is not leaving this race. He is in this race and I support him.”

Fox News - 7/8/2024 - Harold Ford takes great offense to being called an Elite by Joe Biden

"I was the elite that supported you in 2020. That said we should do everything we possibly could to advantage you against Bernie Sanders..."

Eponymous host of the Kim Iverson Show joins Briahna Joy Gray to break down Thursday's disastrous-for-Democrats debate, RFK Jr.'s response, and what third party opportunities this unique political moment presents for the left. Is this a moment to commit to the Green Party? Or is the only "green" up for debate Biden's golf handicap, or whether Trump is sub "par". Is it worth it to vote for RFK Jr. to break up the duopoly? Or are his views on Gaza too insidious to consider any other upsides? You wont want to miss this spirited debate.

A crisis has engulfed the Democratic Party following the train wreck of the Biden-Trump presidential debate, and Biden's catastrophic performance.

On Strike is joined by Briahna Joy Gray, host of the Bad Faith podcast and, until recently, co-host of The Hill Rising, from which she was fired in retaliation for speaking out consistently and courageously against the genocidal war on Gaza. We speak with Gray about the crisis for the Biden administration, the failures of AOC and the Squad–including the recent defeat of Jamaal Bowman in New York–and the path forward for working people, including the important effort to build Jill Stein’s independent, antiwar Presidential campaign.

Register now for the Inaugural Zoom Conference of Workers Strike Back and join Jill Stein, former Seattle City Councilmember Kshama Sawant, and Revolutionary Blackout Network’s Nick Cruse to discuss and vote on a strategy to build an alternative to the rotten Democratic and Republican Parties, which have blood on their hands both at home and abroad. Register now: www.workersstrikeback.org/events/july-national-mtg

Powerful sections of the Democratic Party leadership remain determined to ram Biden down the throats of working people despite the absolute disaster of not only last week’s debate, but Biden’s candidacy as a whole. In the face of the threat of a second Trump Presidency, they are prepared to risk everything rather than replace their doomed candidate. The pro-Biden Democratic establishment is trying to pretend nothing much has happened. It’s a weapon’s grade level of political gaslighting.

The calls for Biden to step aside have grown, now including two Democratic members of Congress–Lloyd Doggett of Texas and Raúl Grijalva of Arizona. But even as pressure on Biden approaches a boiling point, the so-called progressives in the Democratic Party, including AOC, have remained silent, choosing to preserve their rotten relationship with the political establishment over the interests of working people, who desperately need an alternative to the status quo of crisis and war. Meanwhile, the “alternatives” on offer from the Democratic establishment, like California Governor Gavin Newsom and Vice President Kamala Harris, have equally abysmal records to Biden and would also be beholden to the pro-war anti-working-class agenda of the Democratic Party.

If you think the working class needs new and analysis like in this episode, become a member of Workers Strike Back today. By joining Workers Strike Back, you can support the production of On Strike and help us build a fighting workers’ movement to fight for what workers need: a $25/hr minimum wage, good union jobs, free universal healthcare, quality affordable housing, and an end to the genocidal war on Gaza. Join Workers Strike Back today at workersstrikeback.org/join.

@briebriejoy

Today is a wonderful day to thank everyone who, back in 2016, said that Hillary was more electable than Bernie, & ignored that she had historically high unfavorables.

Also, everyone back in 2020 who suppressed coverage of Biden’s cognitive failures, & applauded when Obama put his finger on the scale of the primary.

Also, everyone who for the last year supported the Democrats in blocking a primary.

Annelle Sheline resigned from the State Department in March after she determined that it was nearly impossible to do her job -- promoting human rights in the middle east -- in light of the genocide in Gaza. Now at the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, she joins Bad Faith to debate the merits of working to reform systems from the inside, and to provide behind the scenes insights into how some of her former colleagues try to push back from the inside. Do Matt Miller's craven takes from the podium prove the futility of that effort? Is US narrative building around the "rules based order" being destroyed by access to independent media?

@briebriejoy

YOU people brought this on yourselves. The left has been BEGGING you not to pick Biden: Because he's old. Because he's unpopular. Because he supports a genocide. Because he's to the right of the electorate. And you ignored us. This is YOUR mess. Not ours.

@Sexpistolstreet

Well, you seem awfully excited about another Trump term...

There's a third option. The left has to get serious about saying this out loud.

There is a pro-Palestine, anti-war option that's on 270 electoral college votes-worth of ballots.

@SaeedDiCaprio

so the two options are a dude that uses my people as an insult and the other is currently funding their genоcide … we need another asteroid

@briebriejoy

It it is not a binary choice.

It is a choice, however, to block those who lie to you in order to manipulate you into voting for a cognitively unfit genocide-supporter.

@0liviajulianna

My takeaway from the Presidential debate? #TrumpHatesTheTruth.

This is a binary choice. You can choose an administration who wants to move this country forward, or a man who wants to burn the country down.

The choice is absolutely clear.

Shir Hever, the military embargo coordinator for the Boycott Divest & Sanctions movement, joins Bad Faith to explain how the BDS movement is effectively squeezing the Israeli economy and souring Israeli's on the war against Gaza. The Israeli/German economist explains how financial pressures are being felt by the Israeli public, and how an international solidarity movement is effectively blocking military aid from being sent to Israel. He also weighs in on the ad hoc boycotts that have sprung up around companies like McDonalds & KFC.
