Sad last second goal kept us from being Copa Texas champs a second year in a row. The red card was surprising. We are still in the bracket to qualify for the tournament but it's a tight race!

Austin FC announced today the Club agreed to a trade with LA Galaxy. Austin receives midfielder Memo Rodríguez and up to $900,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM), including $300,000 of guaranteed 2023 GAM. The Galaxy receive midfielder Diego Fagundez, and could also receive up to $150,000 in conditional GAM if Rodríguez meets certain performance metrics.

I'm surprised by some of these numbers. Some of our top players are getting low balled or possibly the numbers aren't correct. If they are though Pereira and Gallagher should be getting a raise next season, (if we can hold onto them).

In all seriousness, what a start to the second half of the season! Really happy to see Wolff give up on the Rigoni experiment and go back to what worked last year. The chemistry difference is just night and day. Defense is still really sus, but the West is such a shitshow this year that there’s still everything to play for. ¡Listos!
